The READING ROOM CAPO LONDON EXHIBITION AWARD
The Reading Room CAPO London Exhibition Award is currently on hiatus while Reading Room move their London office (and gallery). The information below is purely historical. We hope to announce the re-introduction of the Reading Room Award for the 2016 season.
Eligibility: Open to Australian emerging artists working in visual media.
Submission details are here and also require:
- a ‘Residency Statement’ outlining how the time in London will be used and the anticipated impact on the artists practice (limited to 2 A4 pages)
- an ‘Exhibition Proposal’ (download gallery plan here), which clearly indicates how the gallery space will be used in relation to the number, size and/or nature of the works to be shown (limit 2 A4 pages)
About the Award
This award is offered to an emerging visual artist and provides return airfare to London, two weeks accommodation, gallery space in Soho for six weeks and catering for the exhibition opening. An emerging artist is defined as someone in the first five years of their career as an artist.
Note: Freight for the exhibition work is not included.
About the Gallery
The Reading Room as one of the largest independent digital agencies, is committed to supporting talented new artists. Its London Gallery is now in its second year of operation and offers artists the chance to exhibit their collections in the West End. Their private viewings attract influential people in the London art scene.
Open to the public: Monday to Friday – 9.00am – 6.00pm
